Time for a Pause
Dear Friends & Supporters, we would like to thank everyone for their support over the years to help create Home on the Range Green Care Farm.Through volunteerism, donations, advice and support you have helped build and become part of the Home on the Range family. It is with a heavy heart that we inform you, Home on the Range will be suspending farm operations this year due to an operating deficit. We have been struggling to find sustainability with donations, fundraising and grant income decreasing the past couple of years. As passionate as we are about the Green Care Farm model, it needs to be sustainable to be successful. Whether that’s offering small scale housing onsite, larger training programs or becoming PDD certified to access provincial monies. We see a tremendous need in the community for health based programs, services and housing for individuals with disabilities. We will reconvene as a Board in the Fall to figure out our next steps. We have so appreciated your support over the years! It has been invaluable & we hope to be back again!
Sincerely, The Home on the Range Family
